Canyoning
What is it?
An extremely refreshing way to get to know the mountains! Abseil, jump or slide your way down routes cut out by Mother Nature. Enjoy a guided descent and discover the picturesque canyon of Oz. An unforgettable experience, to share with family or friends without fear!
Oz canyoning
There are 14 slides in total, the largest being 10m long. If you are feeling up to the challenge of completing them all, it is advised that you allocate a two hour window. It can get very cold due to the glacial water so everyone must don a 5mm wetsuit. It's a lot of fun but be careful of the slippery rock!
Note: By-law of the municipality of Oz en Oisans, the canyon is only open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Other days are reserved for fishermen.
EXTREME
If you are looking for some serious technical canyoning then you may have to go slightly further afield. The milieu of the Alps are home to some real gems of downhill alpine canyoning which can only be done in the summer or in early spring.
In the valley of the Romanche, there is also a choice between the shadow of "Béous" powered by glacier water from La Meije or the sunny option "Jump of the Virgin" which enables you to see great views, the real lookout of La Meije.
Finally in the heart of the Ecrins, in the valley of Vénéon, we invite you to the canyon "Vallon des Floor".
