Who needs to be near a beach!?
Lying in the hollow at the foot of the steep mountains, the Lac de Verney in Allemont enables you to combine watersports and mountain activities. The lake, which is over 1.2 km long, was created by the building of the Grand Maison dam in 1985 and has since provided the setting for the Alpe d’Huez triathlon and summer fun for everyone.
It’s a ten minute drive down to the dam with easy parking, access to a great waterside eatery and bar and plenty options for fun. Windsurfing, dinghy sailing and pedaloes – the cool way to enjoy Oisans.
